Foundation Projects
Build It Right, the First Time.
Most lodges start with nothing online, or with something that stopped working years ago. Foundation projects fix that. A complete digital presence, built from the ground up for the fraternal world, with branding included in every package.
Where Most Lodges Begin
The lodge that reaches out to us typically has a website someone built seven years ago that nobody knows how to update, or no website at all. The Facebook page was last posted to in 2021. The Google Business Profile either does not exist or shows the wrong address.
None of that reflects the quality of what happens inside those lodge rooms. The problem is not the lodge. The problem is that no one ever built the right infrastructure.
That is the starting point for most of our foundation projects. We do not need you to arrive with anything in place. The work begins from wherever you are.
Every website package includes branding. A lodge should not receive a site without a coherent visual identity. The brand guide produced at the start of every project gives your lodge a logo, a color palette, and a typography standard it can use consistently across everything it publishes.
Web Starter
A lodge starting from nothing, or from a site that is no longer working. For a Master who wants his lodge visible and professional before his year ends.
- Logo, color palette, typography, and one-page brand guide
- Five-page WordPress/Divi website: Home, About, What to Expect, Events, and Contact
- Fully mobile responsive on every device
- Contact form for prospective members
- Basic on-page SEO for local search visibility
- Automated welcome email for new subscribers
Two to three weeks from completed intake.
Web Pro
A lodge that wants a complete, scalable presence. For lodges with programs, events, and history worth documenting, and for Masters serious about sustained membership growth.
- Everything in Web Starter, plus extended branding
- Up to ten pages: all Starter pages plus Events Calendar, Member Resources, and Blog/News setup
- AEO, discoverable through AI-powered search and voice assistants
- Welcome sequence plus a prospect nurture sequence for men who have inquired
Three to five weeks from completed intake.
Need something outside these frameworks? Complex programs, bilingual content, or a rebuild after extended inactivity.
Built to Be Found
A well-built website that nobody can find is not a digital presence. It is a brochure in a filing cabinet. SEO ensures that when a man in your city searches for a Masonic lodge, your lodge is what he finds.
SEO Foundation
Every lodge. Establishes local search visibility that a well-built website alone does not guarantee.
- Full technical audit identifying anything preventing the site from ranking
- On-page optimization: titles, descriptions, headings, and content structured for search
- Google Business Profile setup and optimization
SEO Advanced
Lodges in competitive urban markets or cities where multiple lodges compete for the same prospective members.
- Everything in SEO Foundation
- Press release written and distributed to local media, Masonic publications, and regional outlets
- Local directory listings established across directories that build search authority
Social Setup
The Complete Foundation
The most effective approach is to establish website, SEO, and social presence simultaneously. A lodge that launches all three at once enters the search landscape as a complete presence. The bundles combine all three services at a meaningful saving.
Full Foundation Starter
Web Starter + SEO Foundation + Social Setup
The right starting point for most lodges. A professional website, local search optimization, and a professional social presence, all built together, all consistent in identity, all delivered in a single project.
Includes a lodge-specific onboarding guide covering website management, SEO basics, and social media for officers.
Full Foundation Pro
Web Pro + SEO Advanced + Social Setup
For lodges committed to comprehensive growth. More pages, deeper SEO authority, press release distribution, and an extended branding system that scales with the lodge’s programs over time.
Includes a lodge-specific onboarding guide and a dedicated onboarding strategy call with the Fraternal Media team.
Need something outside either bundle? Contact us for a custom scope.
Building Something That Lasts
Lodges that complete a Full Foundation Bundle and commit to a Full Growth Bundle retainer at signing receive ten percent off the first three months of retainer service, priority delivery on the foundation project, and a complimentary strategy onboarding call.
What to Expect
Every foundation project follows the same process, regardless of package.
We start with an intake questionnaire. This covers the lodge’s history, programs, audience, tone preferences, and the information needed to build a brand and a site that actually reflects the lodge. The questionnaire becomes the foundation for everything that follows.
From intake to delivery, you will have a clear timeline and a single point of contact. When something needs your input, you will know. When it does not, we will simply build.
When the project is complete, full ownership of everything transfers to the lodge. The website, the brand files, the social graphics, all yours. There is no ongoing fee required to keep the site live beyond standard hosting, which we can help you establish.
| Package | Estimated Delivery |
|---|---|
| Web Starter | 2 to 3 weeks from intake |
| Web Pro | 3 to 5 weeks from intake |
| Full Foundation Starter | 3 to 4 weeks from intake |
| Full Foundation Pro | 4 to 6 weeks from intake |
Timelines run from intake completion, not from the date of signing.
Common Questions
Do we need to know anything about websites to maintain ours?
No. Every foundation project includes an onboarding guide written for lodge officers, not developers. It covers updating events, adding news posts, editing contact information, and uploading photos. For anything more technical, we are a message away.
Our lodge already has a website. Can you update it instead of building from scratch?
In some cases, yes. We will assess your existing site and tell you honestly whether updating it is the right approach or whether starting fresh will serve the lodge better. Contact us and share what you have, and we will give you a straight answer.
Who owns the website and all the assets when you’re done?
Your lodge. Full ownership of the domain, the website files, the brand assets, and all social graphics transfers to the lodge at project completion. You are not renting a presence from us. It belongs to the lodge.
What does AEO mean, and why does it matter?
AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimization. Traditional SEO helps your lodge appear in Google search results. AEO ensures your lodge appears when someone asks an AI assistant a question like “Is there a Masonic lodge near me?” That audience is already significant and growing. Web Pro includes AEO because it is now a meaningful part of how people discover local organizations.
Our budget is tight. Is there a payment option?
Yes. Foundation projects can be structured with a deposit at signing and the balance due at delivery. Talk to us about what works for your lodge. And if your lodge is genuinely in financial difficulty, The Trowel Fund exists for exactly that conversation. No lodge is turned away without a discussion. Learn about The Trowel Fund →
How do you handle Masonic content? We’re careful about what goes public.
This is a question we are always glad to hear. Every project begins with a conversation about what your lodge is comfortable publishing. We work within those boundaries without exception. We never publish member names or anything that belongs inside the lodge room, full stop.
Can we see examples of what you have built for other lodges?
Yes. The portfolio shows work across different lodge sizes, markets, and situations, and we are glad to walk you through examples relevant to your lodge when we talk.
