For Venues and Businesses

For Venues & Businesses

Preserve the Building. Grow the Business.

Some of the most significant architectural landmarks in American cities are Masonic temples. The lodges that have opened those buildings to the public as event venues, rental halls, and community centers are doing something important. They are funding the fraternity’s future with the fraternity’s past. We are here to help that work succeed.

Get Started, Venue

Who This Is For

Built for Lodge-Operated Venues and Businesses

  • Event centers and rental halls
  • Catering operations and dining facilities
  • Museum and historical visitor spaces
  • Educational and community centers
  • Commercial tenant and lease operations
  • Masonic supply and merchandise

If your lodge operates a business that helps sustain the building, we can help you market it.

The commercial case is straightforward: every empty date on your venue calendar is lost revenue that could have supported the building and the lodge. A professional, searchable online presence converts directly to more inquiries and more booked events.

The preservation case runs alongside it. Many of these buildings are irreplaceable. Once lost, they are gone. The commercial success of the venue is the most practical mechanism available for keeping them standing.

Both arguments lead to the same place. This is what we do.

Two Sites, Two Audiences

Your Lodge Site and Your Venue Site Are Different Things.

A lodge website speaks to men considering membership. A venue website speaks to event planners, couples booking a wedding, and corporate clients sourcing a meeting space. These audiences have different intentions, search for different terms, and expect to land on a page that speaks to them specifically.

Trying to serve both audiences on a single site produces a site that serves neither well. We recommend treating these as related but distinct digital presences: separate sites, separate domains, separate SEO strategies, connected to each other where appropriate.

Lodge Site Venue Site
Primary audience Men considering membership Event planners, couples, corporate clients
Search terms “Masonic lodge [city]” “Event venues [city]”, “wedding venues [city]”
Primary CTA Learn more about membership Book a tour / Request a quote
Content focus Brotherhood, tradition, values Spaces, availability, booking
SEO competition Low, achievable with modest effort High, competes with hotels and event facilities
We can build and manage both the lodge site and the venue site. Each is optimized for its own audience, indexed for its own search terms, and designed to convert its own type of visitor.

Foundation Services

SEO & Social Setup

Foundation SEO and Social Setup packages are the same for venues as for lodges. Retainer pricing differs, explained in full below.

Foundation

SEO Foundation

Full technical audit, on-page optimization across every page, and Google Business Profile setup. The GBP is particularly important for venues, since it is how event clients searching near your location discover you.

Advanced

SEO Advanced

Everything in SEO Foundation plus press release distribution and local directory listings. For venues, the press release is especially strong: a historic Masonic temple opening as a premier event space is legitimate local news.

Setup

Social Setup

Setup and optimization of up to three profiles, branded graphics package, and a social media guide for venue operators. Instagram is the priority platform for venues given the visual nature of event marketing.

Monthly Retainers

Keep the Venue Visible, Every Single Month.

The venues that maintain consistent social presence, fresh content, and active SEO are the venues that fill their calendars. Social management matches lodge retainer pricing. Venue SEO is higher, and the next section explains honestly why.

Tier Social Management SEO & Content (Venue Rate) Full Growth Bundle
Essential 8 posts / FB, IG, X, GBP 2 blogs + 2 GBP posts / mo Essential Bundle
Standard 16 posts / FB, IG, X, GBP 4 blogs + 4 GBP posts / mo Standard Bundle
Premium 30 posts / FB, IG, X, GBP, LinkedIn 8 blogs + 8 GBP posts / mo Premium Bundle
Instagram is prioritized for venue social content. LinkedIn is included at Premium and is recommended for venues targeting corporate event clients. All content is written specifically for the venue, not adapted from lodge content.

An Honest Answer

Why Venue SEO Is Priced Higher Than Lodge SEO

Lodge SEO targets low-competition local search terms such as “Masonic lodge Denver,” “Freemasonry near me,” and “how to join a lodge in Colorado.” These searches have modest competition and are achievable with well-structured content and a properly optimized Google Business Profile. The work is meaningful and it produces results, but the competitive environment is manageable.

Venue SEO targets a completely different landscape. Searches such as “Event venues Denver,” “wedding venues near me,” and “corporate event space Denver” are high-volume commercial searches where your venue competes directly against hotels, dedicated event facilities, and hospitality groups with substantial marketing budgets and established domain authority.

Getting meaningful, sustained search visibility in that environment requires greater content volume, more technical optimization, active citation management, and consistent effort over a longer timeline. The SEO work is genuinely more demanding than lodge SEO, and the pricing reflects that reality honestly.

If a venue SEO agency is quoting you lodge rates, they are either underestimating the work or planning to underdeliver. We quote what the work actually costs.

FAQ

Common Questions

Our lodge already has a website. Can we just add venue pages to it?

You can, but we recommend against it. A lodge website and a venue website serve fundamentally different audiences and different search purposes. Adding venue pages to the lodge site splits the SEO focus, creates a confusing experience for event clients, and prevents you from building the dedicated domain authority that venue search rankings require. A separate site, properly built for commercial search, will consistently outperform a hybrid approach.

We have a very small event calendar. Is this worth the investment?

That depends on what a single additional booking is worth to your venue. If one booked event covers two months of retainer cost, the math works even at low volume. We are happy to have an honest conversation about whether the investment makes sense for your venue’s current situation before you commit to anything.

What kind of content works best for venue marketing?

Photography is the foundation of everything. High-quality images of the event spaces (set up for a wedding, a corporate dinner, a private reception) are the single most impactful asset a venue can invest in. Everything we build around them will produce better results with strong photography. We can advise on what to shoot and work with whatever assets you have.

Our venue operates on behalf of the lodge. Who is the actual client?

Retainer and project agreements can be structured with the lodge, the temple association, or the building committee as the contracting party, depending on how your operations are organized. We work with whatever governance structure your venue operates under. This is a common question and straightforward to accommodate.

How do you handle the Masonic identity in venue marketing?

The venue website is a commercial site and should look and feel like one. That said, the heritage of the building is often a genuine competitive advantage. Event clients frequently choose historic venues over generic spaces because of the character and story they offer. We help you leverage the heritage without turning a venue site into a lodge site.

Do you serve venues outside of Freemasonry?

Our current focus is on lodge-operated venues and Masonic-affiliated businesses. The Media Saga agency works across many commercial sectors. If your situation sits outside this focus, contact us and we can discuss whether and how we can help.
